I can't understand the thinking of a young Kashmiri. Do these guys actually know what they are saying, cry of 'Hame chahiye Aazadi' 'jiwe jiwe Pakistan' etc. What perplexes me the most is, young generation of around 14-30 age is shouting these slogans. Have we failed in making Kashmir an Integral part of India ?
Has Article 370 failed ? OR Is Article 370 the main reason behind isolation of Kashmir. Article 370 was added in the constitution to give more autonomy to Jammu&Kashmir compared to other states. Only Defence, Foreign Affairs and Communication is under the Indian Government.
The Paradox in Kashmir is that the people who are considered as leader of Kashmiri movement, The Hurriyat Conference, their leaders themselves don't follow the stupid things that they preach to other people. They burned hundreds of school in Jammu & Kashmir last year but they themselves are teaching their kids in Premium schools of India. Take the case of Syed Ali Shah Geelani who plays with careers and lives of young kashmiris but he makes sure that his family is leading a peaceful life and his children's and grandchildren's are going to school.
Yasin Malik who advocates Islamic dresscode for muslim women but there are no such restrictions for his wife.
It is time for Kashmiri youth to understand that these people are just playing with their lives for their own personal motives, they don't care about their future.
The debate and commotion shouldn't be about Freedom but about opportunities for every Kashmiri youth to become a doctor, engineer, lawyer etc. and live peacefully with their family.
Kashmir is an Integral part of India and It will always remain an Integral part of India.
